I was born and raised on Long Island, a quick train ride from the big city I am fortunate to call home. At four years old, my mom took me to see Blue’s Clues LIVE at Radio City Music Hall, my first exposure to live theatre. On our way home, somewhere between 50th and Penn Station, I told her I hoped to be like the character “Steve” one day. Jokingly thinking I wanted a green shirt and red spiral notebook, this four-year-old spitfire wanted to perform.
My love for storytelling and art quickly developed, so I began studying acting and dance. With Manhattan in my backyard, I jumped into the world of theatre and film as an outlet of expression. It fascinated me. It gave a sense of comfort to know I could spend my life doing something so wonderful.
At seventeen, I was given the opportunity to perform at The Jimmy Awards on Broadway, a moment I will cherish forever. It opened my eyes to endless possibilities. Two months later, I attended Montclair State University to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre. Here, I was reminded the importance of embracing uncertainty with open arms and being a human first. Since college, I’ve had the privilege of following my passion in New York and around the globe. This career teaches me new things every day, and I’m excited to see what else is in store.
